As the paint leaves my brush, and lays down the color, I watch what was once white begin to bloom.
I get to discover what is trying to be released from my hand changing a flat surface to a new world yet to be found. Witnessing the evolution of what was and what yet is to be created lights my spirit and demands me to complete. Here is a glimpse of a painting in its blossoming phase. Welcome to suggestions for the focal point

I found my peace with the mystery and nature of the oh so challenging fog. The need to overpower it has relented and my ability to let it in and in fact mimic in ways fascinates me further.
The key to this painting is choice of colors and the patience to create many layers as well as blending with a dry brush. with the last piece I struggled with letting go of clarity. In other words, letting go of the details created and covering up by trying to create fog. it is very difficult to capture light in fog and not overdoing the effect and attracting too much attention. In this piece I am using many layers of paint, lots of matte medium to dilute the color.
Enjoy I paint this evening with excitement and intent. my mission is to create the image that has rooted itself in my mind. The original plan intended for my previous creation (the Herd). so far so good. pictures to come.
